God speaks

This is just a candid post about what God has been saying to me lately.  I have been reading this book called "Mission of Motherhood".   The thing that has really stood out to me is how to follow Christ's example in how He treated his disciples for raising my own children.  Christ took so much of His time to be with them, talk to them, teach them, find out what they were thinking, and He allowed them to witness His ministry on earth first hand.  Christ did not give everyone the time He gave to His disciples.  He spent a good part of His time pouring into them.  he was equipping them to change the world and that is what we should equip our children to do as well, but make no mistake about it,  it requires a huge sacrifice of time, energy, and your own agenda.  It means to lay down your own life.  Somehow this Word from God has taken up root in my heart and I Feel it growing in me..  I am going to tell u something powerful.  Do you know that as soon as I relax and give myself over entirely to God's  purpose, I start getting phone calls from friends and family in need.  The key to getting God to use you in the lives of others, is surrendering yourself to the needs that are in your own home.  But wait a minute, this does not look like what u think its going to look like.  Sometimes you think you are suppose to have certain things together.  But God wants to use you with things just the way they are.  he wants to use you in the state you are in when you surrender to Him.  There is a certain posture, and it looks different for everybody, that we have to be in to live a surrendered life.  But to often we get out of that posture trying to "fix things up". But the very moment when you are willing to "surrender all" again, pause and look around you.  Don't try to fix anything, you are right where you are suppose to be..........It might not look like it but you are.  You might look like a hot mess!!  Don't try to fix it,  God will fix it.  Jesus tells us
Matthew 6
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of
these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Do you think God wants you to look beautiful?  He does!!! Aren't the lilies of the field beautiful.  Matter-a-fact how much beauty resides in God's creation as a whole??? A lot!!!!  Don't look to the worlds devices to be beautiful,  God has His own way to beautify His people.  You wanna know how???

Psalm 149:4

New King James Version (NKJV)
For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation

Wow it says that salvation beautifies us!!!! salvation means a whole lot more than being
saved to live for eternity in heaven with God.  It is chock full of benefits for you to believe God for right now!!!!i know we often don't understand how all this works, but you have to let God work His ways, they are not out ways, But they work and His works last forever

remember God brings beauty out of unexpected places and His spirit moves in area of chaos and brings order

Before you were born

Genesis 1:26 - 30  & Genesis 2:7

I am writing on the topic: "What did God whisper to you before you were born?"  Look at what God says:

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[a] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.

I want you to keep in mind that God had not actually formed the man yet.  That did not happen until Genesis 2:7:  Look Below:

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being

So, in Genesis 1:26-30 God created male and female and he spoke to them.  He prospered them, gave them authority, and gave them provision.  He spoke all this to man and the women before they actually took on the form of human flesh.  This was all in God's mind before it actually existed.  He spoke it all before He did it.

Look at what God says to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

All of this really got my attention last night and today.  Because before you and I were born, God spoke into our lives exactly what we were going to be, what we were going to do, and how he has provided for us.  Do you know that everything that will be has already been in the eyes of God.  Do you know that all the questions you have for God have already been answered before you were born.  Do you realize that while you are praying to walk in the purpose God has ordained for your life, God has already seen you fulfill your purpose.  These things have already been deposited.  God has also already made provision for you, that was also deposited in you before you were born.  It is all there!!!

Even Jesus's purpose on this earth was fulfilled before He was born and took on human flesh.  Look at Revelation 13:8 (NIV)
8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.[a]

It says here the Jesus was slain from the creation of the world.  What does that say to you about the unfolding of your life.  If you look back at the first versus I mentioned in Genesis, you will notice that God did not only speak to the Son and Holy Spirit about us but then God repeated Himself when He spoke to the man and woman about the dominion they would have.  All this happened before their physical body was formed.  What does that say to you about your life???Stop searching for what's already been ordained for you from the foundation of the earth and start talking to God.  Stop searching high and low in this world for your answers and start talking to God.  When you walk with Him, you will walk in your destiny and you will do it with authority and grace.  Before you were formed, God said " what you are going to be, what you are going to what I have provided for you".  God can fill in these blanks for you.  The world cannot.

Keep in mind, that God is not the only one who sees and knows these things.  If you see in the first versus I mentioned in Genesis, there is an "us".  God spoke with others about these things.  Those others are Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  So Jesus and the Holy Spirit both know everything that God knows.

What if

What if as Christians we REALLY followed Jesus's example of how he responded to things in the bible.  I believe that sometimes as Christians we walk in some of Jesus's example, but not all of it.  I keep thinking about the bible as a whole and what it really means to live out the word of God in my everyday life.  I don't mean trying to keep the "commandments" of the law.  I don't mean trying to be "righteous".  I really mean my faith in God.  My faith in God to be everything that He says He is to me.  My faith in Jesus that I truly do sit with Him in the heavenly places.  My faith in Jesus that I can do everything that He says I can do in His name.  I feel like you get to a point where you realize that you have to have faith ALL THE WAY,  Or none at all.  I'm just pondering right now.  I have found in my life that the more I am at rest about everything in my life and trusting Jesus that I am who He says I am and that my family and I have what He says we have, the more I experience the peace, joy and movement of God in my life.  But there are times where my faith wavers.  I stop right here to examine the devil in this area.

There is an area of my life where I was strong in faith and now I waver.  I keep hearing God say, don't underestimate the power of simple things.  What are the simple things.  For me, it's taking communion daily.  Just that simple act can catapult you into everything that God has for you that day.  Back to the devil.  The devil will have you to put off the simple things.  You will hear "you can do it later". That's the enemy.  Like I said there is an area where I was strong in faith and I sense that faith wavering.  I believe I hear Satan sharing with me what the physical consequences will be if I'm wrong in my faith.  But you know, that's where Satan is stuck on stupid.  Because you can't go wrong in faith.  Without faith you can go wrong big time.  The bible says that whatever is not of faith is sin.  It also says that "without faith it is impossible to please God.  Those who come to Him must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him".

Satan's main agenda is to get you to question God's goodness to you, to make  you think that God would withhold something from you.  The bible says that He will not withhold any good things from those who walk uprightly.  Before you start questions if you walk uprightly.  Don't worry about it, God doesn't look at your walk but at the perfect walk of Jesus in whom you have every blessing of the righteous, upright person.  Not because of anything you have done, but because of what Jesus has done.

My son has had a fever since yesterday evening.  I turned to the Word of God to see what the remedy is for a fever.  In the book of Luke, Peter's mother-in-law was sick with a fever and they asked Jesus to heal her.  Jesus stood over her and rebuked the fever and it left her.  Simple remedy right; "rebuke the fever".  He did not say take her to the physicians, he did not say give her medicine.  He did not say give her a cool bath, he did not say put a cool rag on her head.  He simply rebuked the fever.  Many times as adults, we don't receive such simple remedies very well.  The devil tries to convince us that life is more complicated than that.  The bible says that God uses the simple things to confound the wise.  I am encouraged to stand on the simple truths and remedies in the word of God for myself and my family.
