Thanksgiving

I am thankful for so many things in my life.
Noah's allergies were bothering her yesterday and the day before, but I'm thankful that God has given me the "know how" with my own child to help her get better and get over whatever is ailing her.

I am thankful for my husband who is there for me in every way possible.  He builds my confidence and provides our family with a sense of security.  He leads me and guides me as I struggle with the mountains in my life.  He helps in all the areas of my role as a homemaker and mother.  He always bears me up when I need it.  He loves me like know other and has a sense of what I need, when I need it.  He is handsome, well built, smart, Godly, successful,  and ambitious.  He paves the way for our family to be able to live a peaceful, meaningful life

I am so thankful for the home that we have.  We have a couple friends in our community,  not many but I'm grateful for the one's we have.  We have a beautiful house in a beautiful city!

I''m thankful that we have food to eat.  Even though I'm the one that has to cook it and clean it up most of the time............I'm very thankful that God has given us the resources and me the "know how" to cook decent meals for my family

I'm thankful to my friend who set me on the path of using natural remedies (Darnice)!  God used her to lay a foundation for the thriving health of our family

I'm thankful for a daughter who is smart, healthy, energetic, loving (when she wants to be), obedient (when it means the most), beautiful, and building her own unique relationship with God.

I'm thankful for the testimony that a family member shared with me over the weekend about how God used her to bless a young women with a whole new life.  It reminds you that with God you can live your own real-life fairytale.  Thanks Mia!

I'm thankful to be working with Avon now and how it's helping me to step out and meet new friends.  I just met a young lady that I always see at Panera Bread. Come to find out she is getting ready to turn 40 but I thought she was in her 20s, and she has a 3 yr old daughter just like me.  We had a great conversation.  I am so amazed at how young she looks. Can't wait to find out what her secret is to looking so young.

Testimony - great customers, great tips, $400 refunded from my school, Financial blessings

I had to blog about this.  I couldn't keep this to myself.  Something happened a couple days ago.  Just to share a little bit of the backstory before I tell you, my husband and I had a huge financial crisis about 3 years ago.  Things have gotten better little by little but it takes grind, especially on his part.  He is a great husband and dad so he takes pleasure in providing for his family.  This is a great entry point into what I'm about to share with you.  As we were approaching the beginning of the school year there were some other expenses approaching as well.  My husband and I believe our kids should be involved in extra curricular activities.  As they get older we feel they need constructive ways to channel their energy.  And they need to get away from the constant lure of the Ipad.  This is a big challenge for today's generation and you have to be proactive, especially with your children.  Anyway,  my daughter wa...

Starting your day

When I begin my day with a fast pace and a mind to "get things done" it really never ends well.  I burn out pretty fast.  When I take a "rest stop" at the very beginning of my day with God and linger a little, the day always goes better.  Micah 7:7 says: Therefore I will look to the LORD;       I will wait for the God of my salvation;       My God will hear me.  It seems as if when I don't start my day with God a cycle of self-dependence starts and it never ends well.  When I start my day with God, dependence on Him starts my day and He reminds me during morning devotional time to lean on Him to get through the day.  It helps me to not get "caught up"  I pray that for today, that I don't get caught up.  Noah is home from school, not feeling very well.  I just want to lean on God and trust Him to bring her comfort and help her to heal today.  I'm praying that I to would...

Think before you defend yourself

I get on social media and I do my best not to be critical of anyone.  It's not my place.  I do find it kind of interested how personal relationships, insecurities, and hurts are expressed where the whole world can see.  Social media is like this enigma that continues to spark my interest.  I find myself asking "why would he/she share something so deep and personal with people who don't know them or even care?".  I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing.  I just find myself being very curious and intrigued about why? There is one trend I see, on social media, that sparks a bit of concern.  The amount of time we spend defending ourselves and our decisions on social media.  I get concerned because I realize that when we spend a "noticeable" amount of time defending ourselves publicly, it is a strong indication that their is a much bigger private battle going on within .  Social media speaks volumes to me about inner battles we go through. ...
