Sit down

Amen to a fresh Word today, a fresh revelation of God to take you and I through our day today.  Lord, I'm tired today and I'm spent.  I'm blessed, but I'm exhausted.  Lord sometimes I feel like a robot, going, going, going.  It's only when I get in Your word that I break forth in  Jesus.  It's only when I get in your Word that I break out of the routine, the mundaneness of my days, so please Lord deliver a word today,  a Word in due season Lord.  I know Your Word will energize, motivate and inspire me.  I claim it in Jesus name.  I also pray for wisdom and favor in Jesus name.

Many times in life we get overcome and/or overwhelmed by the trials and tribulations in daily life.  Lemme re-word that.  We get tempted to allow trials and tribulations to overtake us.  We are tempted to let trials and tribulations govern how we walk, talk, and make decisions.  There are times that we get so tired that we can't see beyond our  mountain of exhaustion.  We have to be able to see beyond that.  Vision is so necessary to walk in victory everyday with our Lord, Jesus Christ.  When there are mountains in our way and we can't see, we must turn to the Word.  The Word of God can move mountains.  I pray we can move some mountains today.

Genesis 1

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[b] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

My flesh is not comfortable with this word today.  Anytime the Lord takes me to the beginning of Genesis, it causes me to stop in my tracks and focus on 2 things.
1.  How God made everything simply by speaking a Word
2.  How he blessed us, gave us everything we needed, and commanded us to have dominion.

This is not an easy text for me, because it brings my busyness to a hault.  Some years ago when I was in the Internet Marketing industry God showed me that vision was more important than any amount of work I could do.  He shows me that speaking is so much more powerful than striving.  It caused me to spend many hours meditating and strategizing.  Honestly, for me it takes alot more energy to meditate on God's Word and spend time speaking things into the atmosphere than it takes for me to stay busy with the normal tasks of the day.  But I know from experience it yields far greater results.  Many times when I get overwhelmed and the mountain of exhaustion starts to block my view, God leads me to sit down.  The term "sitting" has a very important spiritual meaning for Christians.  Think about sitting as a spiritual posture.  The bible refers to Jesus "sitting at the right hand of power".  In the bible Martha and her sister Mary are a good illustration.  If you look at the scriptures Martha is always up doing something, but Mary's posture at first mention is always initially sitting.  Jesus praises her posture.  In the old testament, the elders would sit at the gate, this was a position of influence.  Even Deborah and powerful prophetess and would sit under a palm tree judging Israel.  In the book of Acts, the disciples were sitting on the day of Pentacost, when the Holy Spirit came upon them like a rushing, mighty wind.  There are many instances in the bible when people are sitting or sleeping when they get a word from the Lord.  Receive a posture of  "sitting" today if you are overwhelmed and/or have a mountain in front of you that you can't see past.  Bless you, may the Lord richly bless you today.

Testimony - great customers, great tips, $400 refunded from my school, Financial blessings

I had to blog about this.  I couldn't keep this to myself.  Something happened a couple days ago.  Just to share a little bit of the backstory before I tell you, my husband and I had a huge financial crisis about 3 years ago.  Things have gotten better little by little but it takes grind, especially on his part.  He is a great husband and dad so he takes pleasure in providing for his family.  This is a great entry point into what I'm about to share with you.  As we were approaching the beginning of the school year there were some other expenses approaching as well.  My husband and I believe our kids should be involved in extra curricular activities.  As they get older we feel they need constructive ways to channel their energy.  And they need to get away from the constant lure of the Ipad.  This is a big challenge for today's generation and you have to be proactive, especially with your children.  Anyway,  my daughter wa...

Starting your day

When I begin my day with a fast pace and a mind to "get things done" it really never ends well.  I burn out pretty fast.  When I take a "rest stop" at the very beginning of my day with God and linger a little, the day always goes better.  Micah 7:7 says: Therefore I will look to the LORD;       I will wait for the God of my salvation;       My God will hear me.  It seems as if when I don't start my day with God a cycle of self-dependence starts and it never ends well.  When I start my day with God, dependence on Him starts my day and He reminds me during morning devotional time to lean on Him to get through the day.  It helps me to not get "caught up"  I pray that for today, that I don't get caught up.  Noah is home from school, not feeling very well.  I just want to lean on God and trust Him to bring her comfort and help her to heal today.  I'm praying that I to would...

Think before you defend yourself

I get on social media and I do my best not to be critical of anyone.  It's not my place.  I do find it kind of interested how personal relationships, insecurities, and hurts are expressed where the whole world can see.  Social media is like this enigma that continues to spark my interest.  I find myself asking "why would he/she share something so deep and personal with people who don't know them or even care?".  I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing.  I just find myself being very curious and intrigued about why? There is one trend I see, on social media, that sparks a bit of concern.  The amount of time we spend defending ourselves and our decisions on social media.  I get concerned because I realize that when we spend a "noticeable" amount of time defending ourselves publicly, it is a strong indication that their is a much bigger private battle going on within .  Social media speaks volumes to me about inner battles we go through. ...
