The ark

I just want to praise God for the ark.  I want to praise God for the ark that He used to save Noah, I want to praise God for the ark that He used with the Isrealites in the wilderness and I want to thank God for the ark He has used with us.  I believe Jesus is our ark.  You know there are many people out there that think God is out to punish them rather than save them.  There are people out there who see an angry God and not a loving and forgiving God.  But God does not desire to punish, He desires to save us.  There had to be a punishment for sin, because God is righteous.  But instead of pouring our His wrath on us, which He did not want to do, He sent His beloved son Jesus to receive the wrath in our place.  This is how much God did not want to punish us for our sins.  He did not want to pour His wrath out on us, but it had to be poured out, so Jesus took it.  So how can you refuse such an awesome gift of salvation.  We all need and want God, He is our creator and we yearn for Him.  He wired us to need to be in relationship with Him.  He knows that He did, that is why it is so important to Him for us to be reconciled through Jesus Christ.  Some people ask, when will Jesus come back? Why is He waiting so long?  How long is He going to let this evil go on in the world?  While the heart of God gets grieved, lemme tell you why He is letting this evil go on in the world.

2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,[a] not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

There are people out there that have not accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.  God is being longsuffering towards those individuals, because He doesn't want them to perish.  He is giving them time to repent because He loves them.  Though He will not wait forever, He waits in love right now.  If there is anybody reading this blog who has not accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, He is waiting on you.  He lets evil go on and His heart gets grieved but He is giving you time to repent and turn to Him for forgiveness.  God is so loving that He waits.  We have an ark and His name is Jesus, get into the ark.  God's #1 intention towards you is to save you.  Get into the ark.

Starting your day

When I begin my day with a fast pace and a mind to "get things done" it really never ends well.  I burn out pretty fast.  When I take a "rest stop" at the very beginning of my day with God and linger a little, the day always goes better.  Micah 7:7 says: Therefore I will look to the LORD;       I will wait for the God of my salvation;       My God will hear me.  It seems as if when I don't start my day with God a cycle of self-dependence starts and it never ends well.  When I start my day with God, dependence on Him starts my day and He reminds me during morning devotional time to lean on Him to get through the day.  It helps me to not get "caught up"  I pray that for today, that I don't get caught up.  Noah is home from school, not feeling very well.  I just want to lean on God and trust Him to bring her comfort and help her to heal today.  I'm praying that I to would...

Testimony - great customers, great tips, $400 refunded from my school, Financial blessings

I had to blog about this.  I couldn't keep this to myself.  Something happened a couple days ago.  Just to share a little bit of the backstory before I tell you, my husband and I had a huge financial crisis about 3 years ago.  Things have gotten better little by little but it takes grind, especially on his part.  He is a great husband and dad so he takes pleasure in providing for his family.  This is a great entry point into what I'm about to share with you.  As we were approaching the beginning of the school year there were some other expenses approaching as well.  My husband and I believe our kids should be involved in extra curricular activities.  As they get older we feel they need constructive ways to channel their energy.  And they need to get away from the constant lure of the Ipad.  This is a big challenge for today's generation and you have to be proactive, especially with your children.  Anyway,  my daughter wa...

Think before you defend yourself

I get on social media and I do my best not to be critical of anyone.  It's not my place.  I do find it kind of interested how personal relationships, insecurities, and hurts are expressed where the whole world can see.  Social media is like this enigma that continues to spark my interest.  I find myself asking "why would he/she share something so deep and personal with people who don't know them or even care?".  I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing.  I just find myself being very curious and intrigued about why? There is one trend I see, on social media, that sparks a bit of concern.  The amount of time we spend defending ourselves and our decisions on social media.  I get concerned because I realize that when we spend a "noticeable" amount of time defending ourselves publicly, it is a strong indication that their is a much bigger private battle going on within .  Social media speaks volumes to me about inner battles we go through. ...
