Wisdom supplies!

Lord God, I pray today that my words be pleasing to you Lord.  Lord I pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation.  I pray for favor today Lord God.  Lord God I thank You for the Spirit of adoption that I have received by whom I cry out Abba Father.  I pray for this spirit of adoption to become more evident in my life so that everybody knows you are my daddy!  I pray that I come to you as a little child comes to their parents in whom they place complete trust to give them everything they need and everything they want.  I want to walk with you from that posture Lord God and I know the Holy Spirit will do it.  In Jesus Name I pray.

There are many different spirits talked about in the bible and we should take heed to them.  Especially in our prayer lifes.  The bible says that wisdom comes from a spirit.  Ephesians 1 refers to it as the spirit of wisdom and revelation.  Proverbs 4:7 says "Wisdom is the principle thing".  Then it goes on to say "And in all your getting, get understanding".  Wisdom is referred to as a "she".  It says "Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor when you embrace her.  So far we see that wisdom is a spirit and that wisdom is referred to as a "she".  These are very significant details and worthy of prayer.  This is powerful!  I don't know about you, but I'm lacking wisdom in some areas.  I'm lacking wisdom on how to get my house back in order after moving to a new state and having a baby, with a 5 year old as well, plus running a successful business with my husband.  I'm lacking wisdom when it comes to ministering to others.  As I read further I'm getting so overwhelmed by God's word, I'm tempted to stop my post here.  But I go on to say that Proverbs 4:13 says "Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her for she is your life".  SHE IS YOUR LIFE!  Proverbs 2:4 says "If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.  God wants us to make wisdom the PRINCIPLE THING in our lives. He wants us to have all the blessings that come from that.

Proverbs 31 has always been a stumbling block for women, because who can live up to that.  But God causes me to visit it today from another perspective.  Not to focus on her works, but rather on the spirit.  There is a spirit here.  All she does, does not flow from her own ambition or will.  There is a flow of something else in her life.  There is a spirit here.  The spirit supplies!

Testimony - great customers, great tips, $400 refunded from my school, Financial blessings

I had to blog about this.  I couldn't keep this to myself.  Something happened a couple days ago.  Just to share a little bit of the backstory before I tell you, my husband and I had a huge financial crisis about 3 years ago.  Things have gotten better little by little but it takes grind, especially on his part.  He is a great husband and dad so he takes pleasure in providing for his family.  This is a great entry point into what I'm about to share with you.  As we were approaching the beginning of the school year there were some other expenses approaching as well.  My husband and I believe our kids should be involved in extra curricular activities.  As they get older we feel they need constructive ways to channel their energy.  And they need to get away from the constant lure of the Ipad.  This is a big challenge for today's generation and you have to be proactive, especially with your children.  Anyway,  my daughter wa...

Starting your day

When I begin my day with a fast pace and a mind to "get things done" it really never ends well.  I burn out pretty fast.  When I take a "rest stop" at the very beginning of my day with God and linger a little, the day always goes better.  Micah 7:7 says: Therefore I will look to the LORD;       I will wait for the God of my salvation;       My God will hear me.  It seems as if when I don't start my day with God a cycle of self-dependence starts and it never ends well.  When I start my day with God, dependence on Him starts my day and He reminds me during morning devotional time to lean on Him to get through the day.  It helps me to not get "caught up"  I pray that for today, that I don't get caught up.  Noah is home from school, not feeling very well.  I just want to lean on God and trust Him to bring her comfort and help her to heal today.  I'm praying that I to would...

Think before you defend yourself

I get on social media and I do my best not to be critical of anyone.  It's not my place.  I do find it kind of interested how personal relationships, insecurities, and hurts are expressed where the whole world can see.  Social media is like this enigma that continues to spark my interest.  I find myself asking "why would he/she share something so deep and personal with people who don't know them or even care?".  I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing.  I just find myself being very curious and intrigued about why? There is one trend I see, on social media, that sparks a bit of concern.  The amount of time we spend defending ourselves and our decisions on social media.  I get concerned because I realize that when we spend a "noticeable" amount of time defending ourselves publicly, it is a strong indication that their is a much bigger private battle going on within .  Social media speaks volumes to me about inner battles we go through. ...
