Forget not His benefits

Meditating on the Word of God brings miracles into your life.  God's word can frame the world around you if you Let Him.  Don't let your world be frames by what you see, let your world be framed by what God says.  I don't mean that what you believe will never be manifested and you just have to keep believing it until the day you die.  No, that's not how God's works.  Right now, God's word can frame your world.  He can frame your health, he can frame your finances, he can frame your promotion.  Let your world be contained in the Word of God.  Every week there are certain scriptures the resonate in my heart.  I don't always record them and allow myself to meditate on them.  This blog is my space of meditation, it is my space of pondering,  it is my space for dreaming and goal setting.  The scriptures that are on my heart as I go into this week are the following:

Psalm 23:5 - You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies
Normally when you are in the presence of enemies, the last thing you feel like doing is eating.  I don't know if I would want to sit down at a table and eat in front of my enemies.  First of all, God is calling us to certain posture.  If some body is preparing a table for you, I'm automatically thinking that it is a feast of sorts.  God is saying to me, sit down and feast on the Word of God.  Even as a I sit here right now typing, I have a sink full of dishes from last night, kitchen counters are not wiped, toys are scattered all over the house, and I need a shower.  But I don't think I can let any of those things keep my from feasting on the word of God today.  We have busy lives and it's not always easy to spend a lot of time studying God's Word, but sometimes God will call you to feast on His Word.  If He invites you to do that, are you going to turn down His invitation?  God is prepared a feast for you in the midst of whatever you are struggling with right now,  are you going to turn His invitation down.  This invitation can usher you in to another world, one that is very different than the world you live in now.

Matthew 22:44 - 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool"
Again this speaks of posture.  Not only does this speak of sitting down, but sitting down with a footstool under your feet.  I'm am finally starting to get it, that the more relaxed we are and at rest the more God's power can flow in our lives.  When we are tensed, stressed out, and worried; we obstruct the flow of God's power through our lives. You have to be able to let the Lord flow in your life.  There is a flow, so to speak, in the Christian walk.  But alot of times we see more obstruction then the free flow of God's power.  I believe the obstruction comes from us trying to do things in our own strength and make things happen on our own.  I believe it comes from trying to take responsibility for ourselves instead of letter God be responsible for us.  The world teaches us to be responsible for ourselves.  God teaches us that He is responsible for us.  He calls us sheep.  Sheep are not responsible for themselves, the shephard is responsible for them and assumes that responsibility.  The bible says that Jesus is the good shephard.  The main source of disease among Christians is from the obstruction of God's power their lives.

1John 4:17 - Just as Jesus is, so are we in this world
This is the scripture where we take claim on all that Jesus is.  We take all that Jesus is onto ourselves.  There are many exchanges in the bible.  Jesus took on our diseases, so He could give us His healing.  He took on our sorrows so He could give us His joy.  He took on our separation from the Father, so that we could be back in fellowship with the Father.  The bible says that every good and perfect gift comes from above.  Now, whatever we are struggling with; we need to look up that particular struggle in the bible and see what the heavenly exchange is for that struggle. Make the exchange, give it to Jesus because He will give you something in return.  See, when you give something to Jesus, He always gives you something else in exchange. You open your hand and give up what you have been holding onto, He will put something else in your hand.

Fun Fact - Psalm 105:3 talks about your youth being renewed like the eagle. What does God mean by that?  Well I found some pictures of an eagle as they go through their lifespan.  If you click on the link below, you will find that an eagle seems to get more beautiful as it ages:http://leesbird.com/2009/09/25/b-o-b-eagle-renewal/#

Testimony - great customers, great tips, $400 refunded from my school, Financial blessings

I had to blog about this.  I couldn't keep this to myself.  Something happened a couple days ago.  Just to share a little bit of the backstory before I tell you, my husband and I had a huge financial crisis about 3 years ago.  Things have gotten better little by little but it takes grind, especially on his part.  He is a great husband and dad so he takes pleasure in providing for his family.  This is a great entry point into what I'm about to share with you.  As we were approaching the beginning of the school year there were some other expenses approaching as well.  My husband and I believe our kids should be involved in extra curricular activities.  As they get older we feel they need constructive ways to channel their energy.  And they need to get away from the constant lure of the Ipad.  This is a big challenge for today's generation and you have to be proactive, especially with your children.  Anyway,  my daughter wa...

Starting your day

When I begin my day with a fast pace and a mind to "get things done" it really never ends well.  I burn out pretty fast.  When I take a "rest stop" at the very beginning of my day with God and linger a little, the day always goes better.  Micah 7:7 says: Therefore I will look to the LORD;       I will wait for the God of my salvation;       My God will hear me.  It seems as if when I don't start my day with God a cycle of self-dependence starts and it never ends well.  When I start my day with God, dependence on Him starts my day and He reminds me during morning devotional time to lean on Him to get through the day.  It helps me to not get "caught up"  I pray that for today, that I don't get caught up.  Noah is home from school, not feeling very well.  I just want to lean on God and trust Him to bring her comfort and help her to heal today.  I'm praying that I to would...

Think before you defend yourself

I get on social media and I do my best not to be critical of anyone.  It's not my place.  I do find it kind of interested how personal relationships, insecurities, and hurts are expressed where the whole world can see.  Social media is like this enigma that continues to spark my interest.  I find myself asking "why would he/she share something so deep and personal with people who don't know them or even care?".  I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing.  I just find myself being very curious and intrigued about why? There is one trend I see, on social media, that sparks a bit of concern.  The amount of time we spend defending ourselves and our decisions on social media.  I get concerned because I realize that when we spend a "noticeable" amount of time defending ourselves publicly, it is a strong indication that their is a much bigger private battle going on within .  Social media speaks volumes to me about inner battles we go through. ...
