The Wall in your way

Hitting walls in your life.  Many times the walls are within ourselves.  We are human and that's ok, God can help us with that.  Are there areas in your life where you feel like you want to move past a certain point but you never seem to be able to do it, and you shrink back into your comfort zone.  Times where you are moving, moving, moving in a certain direction than there is a certain something that enters the picture to challenge you and you shrink back.  Why do you think  you shrink back from certain things?  I've seen this in my own life, an avoidance going on.  A rigidness keeps you from being able to be flexible and just flow.  It feels like a wall you can't get past.

There is a time that we arrive at in our lives, where God is ready to bring down every wall that has been holding you back.  Trust me, there is a time where God is ready for you to be able to flow freely in all that He has called you to be.  Trust me, there is a time for this.  When the time comes, God shows you "the wall".  The wall that has been holding you in so many areas of your life.  You find yourself standing in this place where you absolutely can't turn your back on the wall and go back to "business as usual".  So you stand there facing this wall.  You know you can't turn back, you don't want to turn back, you know you want what is on the other side of this wall.  So you're standing there, looking at the wall, with a revelation of your history with this wall.  What are you going to do?  Are you just going to stand there?  No, you are going to believe that by faith this wall in your life is going to fall down (Hebrews 11:30)

The people of Isreal marched around the wall of Jericho for 7 days and then it came crashing down.

Starting your day

When I begin my day with a fast pace and a mind to "get things done" it really never ends well.  I burn out pretty fast.  When I take a "rest stop" at the very beginning of my day with God and linger a little, the day always goes better.  Micah 7:7 says: Therefore I will look to the LORD;       I will wait for the God of my salvation;       My God will hear me.  It seems as if when I don't start my day with God a cycle of self-dependence starts and it never ends well.  When I start my day with God, dependence on Him starts my day and He reminds me during morning devotional time to lean on Him to get through the day.  It helps me to not get "caught up"  I pray that for today, that I don't get caught up.  Noah is home from school, not feeling very well.  I just want to lean on God and trust Him to bring her comfort and help her to heal today.  I'm praying that I to would...

Testimony - great customers, great tips, $400 refunded from my school, Financial blessings

I had to blog about this.  I couldn't keep this to myself.  Something happened a couple days ago.  Just to share a little bit of the backstory before I tell you, my husband and I had a huge financial crisis about 3 years ago.  Things have gotten better little by little but it takes grind, especially on his part.  He is a great husband and dad so he takes pleasure in providing for his family.  This is a great entry point into what I'm about to share with you.  As we were approaching the beginning of the school year there were some other expenses approaching as well.  My husband and I believe our kids should be involved in extra curricular activities.  As they get older we feel they need constructive ways to channel their energy.  And they need to get away from the constant lure of the Ipad.  This is a big challenge for today's generation and you have to be proactive, especially with your children.  Anyway,  my daughter wa...

Think before you defend yourself

I get on social media and I do my best not to be critical of anyone.  It's not my place.  I do find it kind of interested how personal relationships, insecurities, and hurts are expressed where the whole world can see.  Social media is like this enigma that continues to spark my interest.  I find myself asking "why would he/she share something so deep and personal with people who don't know them or even care?".  I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing.  I just find myself being very curious and intrigued about why? There is one trend I see, on social media, that sparks a bit of concern.  The amount of time we spend defending ourselves and our decisions on social media.  I get concerned because I realize that when we spend a "noticeable" amount of time defending ourselves publicly, it is a strong indication that their is a much bigger private battle going on within .  Social media speaks volumes to me about inner battles we go through. ...
