Jesus is willing, are you ready????

The world holds the Christian Community back in so many ways when it comes to faith.  I challenge Christians all over including myself, to start doing one very specific thing differently this year:  There are some ways in which Jesus wants us to live concerning our faith, that the world cannot receive and that the world would call laziness, complacency, irresponsible, weak. The world believes you have to work hard to get certain things, but the bible says that Jesus did the hard work for us and we just need to rest in that.  The flesh likes hard work, because it gives the flesh something to glory in.  Accomplishment through hard work feeds our pride.  Accomplishment through the finished work of Christ feeds our faith.  I challenge us as a Christian Community to start speaking in the name of Jesus to our sickness, injury, abuse, lust, addiction, laziness, chaos, bills, finances, bank accounts, spirits.  I'm not saying don't do anything.  I'm s...

Faith coaching........

I believe what happened leading up to the birth of Jesus, still begs further consideration in the wake of the New Year.  I don't know about you, but there are some areas in my life where I really desire change, where I really want to see things fall in order.  I'm going to call out some of those things right now: 1. I want more energy and drive to get things done on a daily basis 2. I want to be able to do more constructive things during the day with my daughter 3.  I want to be able to organize my mind and my thoughts concerning what I need to get done on a daily basis 4.  I want to see order being established in my home by the Holy Spirit 5,  I want to see laundry done, beds made.......... 6.  I want to stop being guilt driven 7.  I want fruitless areas of my life to disappear and be cast into the sea.  That's it right there! I WANT FRUITLESS AREAS OF MY LIFE TO DISAPPEAR AND BE CAST INTO THE SEA!!!!! Matthew 17:20 New King J...

A Nativity Twist

As Christmas approached this year, everybody was talking about Jesus's birth and the nativity.  It's customary during this time of the year for preachers to speak on these particular scriptures in the bible.  I have to confess, I said to myself, preaching on the Nativity Story again, but  God always manages to breathe life into the nativity story for me afresh every year.  This year wasn't any different.  Just as I was about to think that I couldn't possibly glean any other wisdom from this story, God breathed life into it afresh once again for me. Matthew 1 Matthew 1:18-21 New King James Version (NKJV) Christ Born of Mary 18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought abou...

Children

Children are on my mind today.  I'm thinking about how society's views of children have changed over the years.  In today's society children are treated as burdens or inconveniences.  Children have been considered additional expenses in the pool of bills swimming around our homes.  There are parents that take every and any opportunity to drop their kid off somewhere for somebody else to take care of them.  I know that's not everybody and maybe not even most, but their are enough people that think this way to have a small influence over the rest of us that may not really feel this way.  I'm even taking a long look at myself and my own mindset towards our children.  I love our children, and they are a blessing in my eyes.  Having them around me and watching them grow; keeping them safe.......well it brings tremendous comfort to me.  But I believe there is a small part of me that is influenced by the part of society that says "children are a bur...

What are you really made of? Only God knows..

Psalm 139:13 - For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb Isaiah 29:16 - Surely you have things turned around! Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay; For shall the thing made say of him who made i t, “He did not make me”? Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed i t, “He has no understanding”? Isaiah 37:26 - “Did you not hear long ago How I made i t, From ancient times that I formed i t? Now I have brought i t to pass, That you should be For crushing fortified cities i nto heaps of ruins. Isaiah 43:1 - [ The Redeemer of I srael ] But now, thus says the LORD, who created you , O Jacob, And He who formed you , O I srael: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you ; I have called you by you r name; You are Mine. Isaiah 44:2 - Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you : ‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you , Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. Isaiah 44:21 - “Remember these, O Jacob, And I srael, fo...

Building Testimony Part 2

When God gives you a new revelation about Him, run with it!!!  A revelation is a certain truth that God has opened your heart up to, in order for you to receive it by faith.  God works in you.  Revelations are specific to a certain truth and a certain individual that God wants to reveal that truth at that specific time.  That is why you can be reading the bible, the same versus as someone else and you can totally catch a glimpse of something that nobody else around you can see or receive at that present time.  It's because God has chosen to show it to you specifically, Halellujah!  That's why it's so important for you to run with it whenever that happens.  Take the revelation as far as God will allow you to go with it.  This is a part of building testimony in the Lord Back to the topic of healing.  In my last post I talked about the definition of the word stripes in Isaiah 53.  Originally I said that we are healed because Jesus jo...

It's all real!

I'm so excited today!  I'm excited because the Lord is real.  His promises are real and His love is real.  Everything in the bible points to Jesus.  Jesus is the ultimate expression of God's love.  Halellujah!  I'm excited about Jesus today.  I'm excited because healing in the name of Jesus is real, peace in the name of Jesus is real, comfort in the name of Jesus is real, success and prospering in the name of Jesus is real.  He is real!  All His benefits are real.  I think today I want to talk about supernatural health and healing.  I believe that I walk in supernatural health and I believe my children come under the covering of supernatural health as well.  I define supernatural health as relying totally on Jesus Christ for my daily health and the health of my kids.  That means that God has given me some revelation on daily things I do and take to stay healthy.  That means that when something is wrong with my kids, G...
