Lets have coffee together....

It would be my hope that a woman is somewhere reading this with a cup of coffee in her hand with some soft music playing and quiet all around her.  Time to just be a woman of God.  One of the major things I've learned about being a mother is that you need to carve out time to just be a woman.  To do what women do (makeup, hair, chatting at a coffee shop, going out to dinner, manicures, pedicures)  As women we need each other and we need things in our lives that make us feel like the women God created us to be.  There is not too much written in the bible about being a woman.  I think you see alot about being a man. Maybe it's not so much that it's not there, but we don't realize how it's packaged.  I believe it's much wisdom about being a woman in the bible.  Lets start with Genesis. When Adam was created there was no other human being there, it was just him and God.  Adam had a job, he named the animals, and he had his relationship with God.  But God said, i

Get revived, get nourished....

Over the last couple weeks, the scripture that has been on my heart is Proverbs 13:12:  "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when a desire comes it's a tree of life". I get so much joy watch people live out their dreams and purposes in their lives, it's my calling to be an audience to this, but it's happening in my life right now as well.  After years and years of waiting and allowing God to work in me, He has brought me to my desires.  Wow!  My dreams are coming true right now.  I want to say again, when God starts causing the things you have always hoped and dreamed about to come to pass, it's not convenient.  It doesn't come at convenient times, but that's because God wants you to lean on Him as you are living out your dreams.  I want to encourage you that when a desire that you have been dreaming about and hoping for comes, don't put it off because it's not convenient.  That desire is what God is going to use to revive you and nourish

Keeping it simple, believing God simply!

As human beings we make life so complicated.  We make everything about life complicated.  That's why it pleased God to save us through the simplicity of the cross and Christ crucified.  To some the fact that we can just believe on Jesus Christ and get saved, is foolishness.  The bible says the foolishness of the cross pleased God.  Why??  What can this tell us about how God wants us to operate on a daily basis.  Well, lets see..............He speaks about having the faith of a child in the gospels.  He says in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven we must receive it as a little child.  What does that tell you???  Hmm-mmm,  children are not worried about keeping a bunch of laws.  They are not worried about getting it right.  Children have awesome faith!  They will believe what you tell them, simply because you said it.  Will we believe what God says, simply because He said it????  Will we believe we are healed simply because He said it???  Will we believe that He is able to do exce

Loving Life

When a desire comes, re-evaluate....

When it comes...

Proverbs 13:12 New King James Version (NKJV) 12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.   In life we have hopes.  I also like to call them dreams.  Now, many times we have things lay on our hearts for years and nothing happens!  What you do with your dreams during that time is very important.  Don't let you dreams and hopes die.  Wait for them, they are for an appointed time.  Fan the flames by allowing yourself to think on them and pray about them.  You don't make them the focus of your life.  Jesus should be the focus of your life.  I am a living testimony that God will bring your dreams to pass.  It is happening to me right now.  God is opening doors of opportunity for me to do things that I have been dreaming of doing for years.  I literally have open doors in front of me.  One in which I have already walked through.  My first piece of wisdom on this, wait on the dreams that God has given you, they are for an appoi

Do not fear beloved.

2 Timothy 1:7 New King James Version (NKJV) 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of. power and of love and of a sound mind. How many times did Jesus say to someone "do not fear".  He does not say it in a harsh tone, but as a Father says to his daughter; "don't be afraid, I'm here".  It comforts the child.  Yet we do not let it comfort us.  We are children of God, let Him comfort you.  There are things we hold on to because we fear letting go.  We fear feeling out of control.  If you look at creation and the works of God's hands, you will see that He is an adventerous God.  He does not play it safe and neither should you.  The spirit doesn't flow in our "safe" places.  Get out of your boat and let you life turn into the adventure that God wants it to be.  It's ok................let go.  You know, there is so much I want to get done with my days and I can.  But I hold on to my bedtime.  I hold on to it because I kno

Dreams do come true

We live in such a fast paced culture, where we want everything fast and if we don't get it fast, we give up.  In the process of this, many are giving up on theie very dreams.  The dreams that God gives us breathes into our souls everyday.  Our dreams are alive and they help make us alive.  You have to understand that even when you don't feel like you are living out your dream and/or purpose yet, you have to keep thinking about it; year after year.  You might not feel it but there is life there and life that you will soon realize if you don't give up and wait for it. I have had a dream, a dream about what kind of family life I want to have, how I want to help other mothers, and how I want to contribute to the community.  That dream is in the process of coming to pass right now,  I have thought about these areas of my life for the last 5 years, and have had desires that just never went away.  So I waited as God worked in me and I asked Him every now and again, "Why do

Forget not His benefits

Meditating on the Word of God brings miracles into your life.  God's word can frame the world around you if you Let Him.  Don't let your world be frames by what you see, let your world be framed by what God says.  I don't mean that what you believe will never be manifested and you just have to keep believing it until the day you die.  No, that's not how God's works.  Right now, God's word can frame your world.  He can frame your health, he can frame your finances, he can frame your promotion.  Let your world be contained in the Word of God.  Every week there are certain scriptures the resonate in my heart.  I don't always record them and allow myself to meditate on them.  This blog is my space of meditation, it is my space of pondering,  it is my space for dreaming and goal setting.  The scriptures that are on my heart as I go into this week are the following: Psalm 23:5 - You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies .  Normally when you ar
