Your life, your future, your hope

Get focused on the main thing that God wants you focused on right now, drain out the noise and distractions.  I believe all of us have a major contribution to make to this world, or else we wouldn't be here.  Began to ask God the hard but simple questions again: Why am I here? What is my purpose?  What is my family's purpose?  Don't feel like everything has to be religious when it comes to "purpose".  Matter-a-fact, that can be a stumbling block if you're not careful.  It has been for me in the past.  We can tend to compartmentalize God in our lives.  Like He only cares about certain parts of our lives, or like He only participates in certain areas of our lives.  But there is a scripture that says "In Him we live, and move, and have our very being" (Acts 17:28).  You see that word "being".  We are called human "beings".  You are in the process of becoming.  Becoming what?  All that God wants you to be in every area of...

Is fear holding you back???

"Fear" is the thing that's been on my mind.  I have realized something about my past.  When I left corporate America and became self-employed about 10 years ago, there was something that kept popping up in my relationships with my customers..............I found that every client, that I had, wanted to either place me on staff or partner with me in a more permanent business relationship.  What did I do??!  I turned them down each and every time.  Why?????  At the time it was never my initial intention to establish such permanent relationships.  But it always came up in a matter of time.  Well,  God has chosen to show me the real reason why I turned them down.  It was fear.  Fear of what?  I believe it was fear that I would disappoint them.  Fear that a permanent relationship would not live up to their expectations.  Fear that my contribution to their organization would end up being a dud in a more permanent relationshi...

When it just don"t feel "RIGHT

As I dropped off my son at his grandpa's house today, I prepared myself to go into my normal mode of work that I always do, which tends to be pretty regimented.  But something went off inside me that told me "I was not moving into a good pace". Something inside me, spoke, yet again, to me about the pace of my life.   I had to reel my mind in once again and focus on my spirit.  I don't always do that when I need to. Not listening to my spirit is becoming a luxury that I can afford less and less with each passing day. The scripture that has been on my heart this week is Zachariah 4:6 6  So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts. You have to be in control of your mind and not let your mind control you.  The thinking & reasoning part of our bodies is not allowed to be in control.  There is a place for it, but it has to be submitted...

Everything you need is on the inside of you

Your life is hidden in your heart but you have to learn to seize the life that is hidden in God and therefore hidden inside you as well Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.  You search out the life that God has concealed for you. Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.  God wants you to search it out as hidden treasure.  There is something on the inside of you that has an unceasing, constant tug, and learning to yield to that is indeed a spiritual discipline but can provide much joy.  Many times we think we need to move or buy something or do something outside ourselves to begin to realize that special life God has for you.  But all the tools you need reside on the inside of you.  But many times, it takes for us to experience enough of the pain, that comes with not living out our Godly destiny; to finally begin to seize what is on the i...

Do you need inspiration???

God inspires you through the Holy Spirit.  It is the means by which God touches us and quickens us.  I'm bringing up this whole word Inspiration because in the church I had learned in the past that you just had to discipline yourself to serve God.  But that is not how God stated it in the scriptures below.  Jesus did not tell the disciples to go discipline themselves to receive power from God He said go and wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit.  Look below: Acts Chapter 1 - 4  And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5  for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6  Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7  And He said to them, “It is not for you...

Don't curse the grounds of your trials

James 1:4 - "But let patience have it's perfect work, that you may be perfect, complete, and lacking nothing".  "Patience" is the only virtue that can destroy the lack in your life.  If you don't exercise patience you will always experience "lack".  I think many of us have this "lack" that seems to always be creeping around in our lives.  Not necessarily taking up alot of space, but it's there.  We can't seem to shake it.  Some of us have to come to accept it as just what "you have to deal" with.  What's the saying; "That's just life".  I'm not one to settle easily, especially when God has given me precious promises in my heart and when He has shown me His goodness, in the land of the living.  What is that place on the other side of lack?  What is it like on the other side of "lack".  Many of us hate the word "patience".  In the microwave culture we live in, we all want eve...

What kind of runner are you?????

I use to run track in high school.  I was not a good sprinter.  I was more of a long distance runner.  For the last 8 yrs, as a stay-at-home mom, I have felt that my life  functioned like a marathon and I was cool with that.  I was comfortable with it. But in the last month there has been a shift.  My weekdays feel more like a sprint.  And I'm not a sprinter, or so I thought.  Business has picked up in the lives of my husband and I.  And I still have my 2 yr old at home with me for the most part.  So I'm finding my days being so filled up; and parts of my day come so quickly, that it feels like a sprint.  What do you do when days turn into a sprints, and you thought you were just a  distance runner.   First of all, when the shift has come from God and not by your own hand, you have to trust Him.  First trust Him.  Second, you have to realize that through the power of Jesus, you can do more than you could eve...
